Appeal for Support: Reforming Masajid & Madaris for a Brighter Future, Peace and Latest Education.
The Masajid & Madaris Foundation (MMF) is dedicated to revitalizing the role of Masajid and Madaris in Pakistani society, transforming them into centers of love, peace, solidarity, human development, and human rights awareness. We recognize that these vital institutions have, in many cases, become fragmented by sectarianism, losing the support of the government, the public, and national and international donors. Furthermore, the teachers and students within these institutions often belong to the most vulnerable and impoverished communities, lacking access to modern education, vocational training, Montessori methods, and IT skills.
MMF has already established a network of 150 Masajid and over 120 Madaris, working to promote interfaith harmony, peace, unity, compassion, and to dismantle the barriers of sectarianism and hatred. Now, we are embarking on a crucial next step: upgrading these institutions into modern learning centers.
Masajid and Madaris serve as powerful platforms for community engagement. During events like Jamatul Mubarak, these institutions draw significant attendance—often exceeding 70,000 people. This provides a unique opportunity to disseminate vital messages on development, community health, education, peace, skill development, and information crucial to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our vision is to transform nearly 300 Masajid and Madaris into vibrant hubs of education and community development. This includes:
Masajid and Madaris as Centers of Community Transformation: MMF strengthens Masajid and Madaris to serve not only as places of worship, but as inclusive community development hubs. Through peace education, social services, and civic engagement, we empower communities to foster harmony, support vulnerable groups, and nurture responsible, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.
Nutritional Support: Offering daily meals and nutrition-based feeding programs to ensure the well-being of students.
This ambitious project will directly impact the lives of approximately 2,000 students and 500 teachers, empowering them with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive. By investing in these communities, we are investing in a more peaceful, prosperous, and harmonious future for Pakistan.
MMF urgently appeals to the government, the general public, and national and international donor organizations to support this vital cause. Your generous contributions will enable us to provide these essential resources and transform Masajid and Madaris into beacons of hope and progress. Join us in building a brighter future for Pakistan, one student, one teacher, and one community at a time.
